Revd. Canon Les Thomas

After serving in various parishes in the Liverpool Diocese for 23 years, including the nearby Parish of St. Stephen’s, Banks, I moved over to the Chester Diocese in 1992 to continue my ministry to people with special needs and learning disabilities, becoming Chaplain of the David Lewis Centre for Epilepsy, where I served for ten years. Having grown up in down-town Liverpool, the Lord’s sense of humour then came to the fore when I found myself Vicar of four rural parishes in deepest Cheshire, and the Rural Dean to boot, but when the Lord calls, He also equips – and He did!

My wife Pam and I retired to Southport in 2010, and now enjoy our four grandchildren, gardening, caravanning and movie making. Oh, and also helping out at St. Cuthbert’s and the Church at the Centre.
