Our Team Rector introduces herself

Although I was born in London I actually grew up in Matlock Derbyshire.
In my early 20's I felt God's call to become a Nun and so I left Matlock and went into a convent in Norfolk. All the Sisters in the convent worked in the wider community to help those who were in various kind of need.
In 2000 I left the convent and moved to Birmingham where I worked in a project set up to help women in desperate need of support and help. I was an active member of my local church and, with others, discerned God was calling  me to be ordained in The Church of England. I was ordained in Birmingham Cathedral in 2007. I served my curacy in a very large parish of 30,000 people  in Birmingham across three churches. My curacy was a very happy time.
In 2011, I became the vicar of Immanuel Church Highters Heath Birmingham where I had nearly seven fantastic years.
One of the greatest  joys of my life was meeting Brian, my husband.  We were married in March 2011.
In October 2017 we moved to Churchtown where I  took  up the post of Team Rector of North Meols.  Both Brian and I believe God  has called us  to serve the churches and communites  which make up the North Meols Team.
I enjoy reading, music and going for long walks with Brian and our dog Frosty.
