Sunday at St Cuthbert’s

8.30am Holy Communion

This is a traditional service with the sharing of bread and wine. The words used in the service are from the Book of Common Prayer of 1662. There are no hymns in this service. There are two Bible Readings and occasionally a short talk about them .

The services lasts about 40 minutes.


10.00am Cafe Church

An informal gathering in the Parochial Church Hall, there is plenty of tea, coffee and cake being served.  Please see events page for services

10.00am Sunday Club

Children of all ages are welcome to come along and enjoy their own fun morning.

11:00am Midmorning service

At this time each week there will be either services of Holy Communion, or morning prayer. After the service we have coffee in the Parochial hall next door.

All services include music, led by the choir, and congregational singing of hymns, prayers, Bible readings, and prayers and a talk.


 

Holy Communion

Is a formal service of sharing bread and wine. The words used in this service are from Common Worship.


 

Parade Service

A formal service in which the Uniformed Organisations including the Rainbows, Beavers, Brownies, Cubs, Guides and Scouts take an active part.  This service is at 11.00am


 

Morning Prayer/Service of the Word

This is a formal service which includes Bible readings, talk, prayers and sometimes the choir sings an anthem.

This service lasts about 1 hour.


 

2:00pm until 4:00pm Saturday and Sunday - Church Open

Church is open for private prayer or to have a look around. Guided tours also available.
