WEDNESDAY COMMUNION SERVICE 10.30am
At a recent PCC meeting it was agreed that the Wednesday Holy Communion services will be alternated between St. Cuthberts and St. Johns from the week beginning 7th January 2026.
The reasoning behind this decision is that, principally, as PCCs, we have a duty of care towards the Rector for health and wellbeing and, secondly, we are mindful of the costs of opening and heating both churches on Wednesdays. This decision will be reviewed after Easter.
Whilst this may be disappointing for some parishioners, both churches are fairly close to each other in distance, and we hope a Wednesday service will continue to be accessible for all.
We hope you understand why we reached this difficult decision.
The services will alternate as follows:
7th January – St Cuthbert’s
14th January – St John’s
21st January – St Cuthbert’s
28th January – St John’s
4th February – St Cuthbert’s
11th February – St John’s
18th February – St Cuthbert’s
25th February – St John’s
The dates for the Wednesday services will be kept up to date on our website and in our monthly Parish magazkiine.
We are always glad to welcome regular or occasional visitors to this service.
Usually finishing before 11.15 am, it is followed by refreshments and a chat in a local cafe, to which everyone is warmly invited.
